I am a smoker and do not appreciate the higher prices on cigarettes. It is not going to make people quit smoking.... one idea is to have cigarette manufacturers give out coupons to help defray the cost think about it.......... i for one don't like being told or pushed into stop smoking by these radical and useless nonsmokers

Boston based public policy research non-profit is looking for someone to organize one community meeting in Leominster, MA to be held before the end of May 2009. The meeting would include 16 – 20 participants, including business, non-profit and community leaders.
The Community Meeting Organizer will:
o Identify invitees, invite them to participate, and finalize the list of participants
o Find a date for the meeting that works for attendees, organization staff and facilitator
o Find a venue and a caterer
o Make arrangements with the caterer, and confirm the caterer before the event
The ideal candidate will be from Leominster and have experience in event organizing.

The Asian American Civic Assn is looking for 2 or 3 bilingual (English and either Cantonese or Mandarin Chinese) to work with beginning level immigrant adult students one hour per week after classes. The hours would be 10:30 to 11:30 AM on either Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday or Friday at our building in Boston's Chinatown (easily accessible by public transportation). We are looking for a weekly commitment from now until June 19. We will provide training, materials and support. Start immediately.
