We have 5 kitties, all rescues in foster care, who need dental care and extractions. We've been operating for 8 years without having to make public pleas for donations but with the down economy and corresponding decrease in adoptions.....well, the cats need help that we can't afford right now so we gotta ask. We're estimating about $300 per cat so we really need about $1500 to get everyone taken care of.

Of these 5 cats, all were rescued from shelters when they ran out of time and were scheduled to be euthanized. They are all a little "special needs," whether as a result of extreme shyness or, in one case, a senior kitty or, in another case, still a little on the feral side. These are cats who we will be very happy to find homes for and we really won't be expecting much of an adoption fee if any adoption fee at all.

The first two to go to the vet will be sisters Georgia and Cassie. Beautiful girls but shy, young but apparently with weak teeth and gums. They also are prone to flea allergies. Beautiful cats but a little on the "special needs" side....They have an adopter waiting in the wings but we need to get their teeth looked at before they can go home. Bailey also needs dental care to become adoptable. She is also a beautiful cat but when she came into foster care from a shelter she was so frightened and it has taken so long to get her to come out of her shell that we are convinced she was mistreated early in her life. Tank also needs to go. She's a senior girl, a tuxedo who left the shelter skinny and grew quite plump in foster care. She had dental care immediately after leaving the shelter but apparently they missed a spot. Poor Tank yelps when she bites down the wrong way. She really needs to see a dentist. (No photos of Tank just yet. Because of her age and the ongoing dental issues we have not listed her for adoption yet.)

And then there is Sugar. Sugar is mostly feral and not easily adoptable at this point but Sugar is also yelping when she bites down on food the wrong way so she needs some help. Sugar is welcome to stay in our program for the rest of her life. If she never is social enough to be adopted into a home, so be it. Any donation will be much appreciated. And it will ALL go to the cats. We're all volunteers here, no one gets a salary, we all have day jobs, so there is no administrative overhead. Every dime collected goes to the cats.

Agée d’une cinquantaine d’années et avec sept (07) personnes à charge, Mme Monifa MOUMOUNI est née à Sokodé et vit avec son mari qui contribue tant bien que mal aux charges du ménage malgré ses moyens financiers très limités. Le commerce de vente de "Watsè" (riz préparé avec du haricot, du piment sec rouge et de l’huile) très apprécié dans la région centrale du pays, mais aussi dans certaines localités de la capitale (Lomé) connaît un coup d’arrêt dû à la crise financière qui frappe les pays en voie de développement dont le Togo. Elle sollicite donc un financement pour stoker du riz,du haricot,de lhuile afin de rentabiliser son activité. Ce qui lui permettra d’améliorer les conditions de vie de sa nombreuse famille.

Darío que cuenta con 63 años vive en su propia casa ubicada en la comunidad de "chimbote" junto a su esposa de 58 años respectivamente. La pareja tiene hijos que si bien son independientes los visitan cada fin de semana. Darío recibe una renta mensual por su jubilación de la empresa nacional de ferrocarriles. Junto a su esposa tienen una venta de abarrotes y otros desde hace varios años en su misma casa. No existe competencia para su negocio ya que en es la única tienda en la zona y sobre todo que esta sobre el camino que une a otras comunidades, por tal motivo tiene mucha salida en cuanto a los productos que oferta, ya que son mayormente de la canasta de primera necesidad. Darío tenia previsto comprar por lo menos unos dos artefactos para su negocio, pero solamente comprara un freezer de aproximadamente $us. 500,- y el resto lo esta ocupando para poner a punto su camión que compro para explotarlo en la próxima zafra cañera. Este es el tercer préstamo del cliente y todos los anteriores los a cancelado puntualmente. El no tiene deuda en ninguna otra financiera.
